How much water should you drink?
I have come across a few different thoughts on this topic. Water has generally been assumed with drinking a lot when you are dieting to quell hunger cravings or when you do sports to replenish sweat. But from a strictly performance stand point, how much do you need?
Frist of all, it definitely depends on climate and season. Summer in miami would require you to drink a lot more water than winter in London. But is there a guideline in general?
I know when ive drunken too little water and I know if im bloated on water. Thats really all i know and all i base my information off. No scientific study, just raw understanding of my body.
I can really feel it if im dehydrated for a work out. Especially if i wod in the morning or in the late evening. i get a busy buzzy head, some dizziness, and some feelings of less strength overall therefore decreased results.
Too much water is shown by being bloated and going to the bathroom every 10 minutes. What is the middle ground.
Experiment. Find out what works for you. Measuring how much YOU want based on the size of a water bottle is perfect. Summer in Miami? I would buy and drink a gallon of water every day. Winter in london? I buy a 1.5L water bottle and drink almost all of it. I pair this with plenty of salt and other electrolytes so it is not just running through me and i feel pretty good.
